The English verb “to think” can be expressed in several different ways depending on context in German. Although some of these verbs can be used interchangeably, others are used in specific situations and may have
alternative meanings such as “to believe” or “to contemplate.” For instance in English, we can say “I believe he is coming to the party” or “I think he is coming to the party.” Here, “believe” means “to think.”
